Living in Joshua

Quiet communities, friendly neighbors, and enough room to pursue your hobbies. It is no surprise that Texas families are flocking to smaller towns and Joshua is climbing the list due to Sandlin Homes’ Joshua Meadows community.

This mixed-use development, located off Highway 174 between Burleson and Cleburne, provides a unique opportunity for residents with a relaxed rural setting that is still close enough to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan area to facilitate work and play. Learn more about the popular Joshua Meadows community below.

In the heart of Johnson County

Located in the heart of Johnson County, this small town is home to just more than 7,000 people. Residents here enjoy an active social calendar with annual events like the Independence Day Celebration, Fall Festival, and the Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony. The City Park is a favorite gathering place with a stocked pond for catch-and-release fishing, a splash pad, a playground, picnic tables, and a walking trail. A new Joshua Community YMCA is another option to keep families fit.

Acreage lots in Joshua Meadows

Sandlin Homes is building new homes on acreage lots in Joshua Meadows. Nine distinct floor plans are available in this community starting at 2,530 square feet with three or four bedrooms. Choose from The Ashwood, The Bellaire SE, The Fairview SE, The Kingswood, The Madrid, The Nottingham I, The Nottingham II, The Scottsdale I SE, and The Scottsdale II.

Due to the popularity of Joshua Meadows, only a handful of homesites are available with two quick move-in homes scheduled for completion this summer. One is a four-bedroom Bellaire SE and the other is a three-bedroom Nottingham I. Both have a three-car garage off the side of the home for added privacy. Four additional lots will complete this phase of construction.

Joshua Meadows’ convenient location southwest of the metro, allows residents to reach Dallas or Fort Worth quickly via the Chisholm Trail toll road. The average commute to work is around 33 minutes. Students will attend the highly-rated Joshua Independent School District through Plum Creek Elementary School, Joshua High School Ninth Grade Campus, and Keene J High School. According to Niche.com, Joshua ISD is the second-best district in Johnson County with a student-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 despite serving more than 5,500 students.
