According to a spokes person with the school district, Northwest ISD currently has plans to open a new elementary school within the subdivision by the year 2010, and is seeking out sites for new middle and high schools for future construction.

Higher learning is easily obtained in the nearby Denton colleges of the University of North Texas, named one of the best 100 colleges in the nation for 10 consecutive years, and Texas Woman’s University, which ranks ninth in the nation for doctoral degrees awarded in the health sciences, and produces more new nurses than any other program in the state of Texas. Even though Texas Woman’s University occupies a notable position in higher education as the nation’s largest university primarily for women, TWU also welcomes men in their fold. For those that would prefer to stay close to home, Northwest High School is now a satellite campus for North Central Texas College in the evenings for select college coursework.
