Hard work, ethical standards and quality home building were the foundations that the late J.B. Sandlin represented in his 43 years as a builder. These principles were well taught to the core team of Sandlin Custom Homes today—the three Sandlin sons, Mike, Terry and Scott Sandlin, and son-in-law Matt Speight. Each learned from the ground up, starting in the Quality Control Department. New and exciting floor plans with all the latest features continue to be introduced by all of the four Sandlin home building companies under the "Sandlin Custom Homes" umbrella. These companies, individually overseen by the four Sandlin family members, are Mike Sandlin Homes, TLS Homes, P&S Construction and Sandlin Homes.

Having four corporations operating as one gives Sandlin Custom Homes flexibility, financial strength, and the ability to make a major presence in the developments where they are active. Sandlin Custom Homes is involved in much of its own land development activity; in fact, over 80 percent of the homes built by Sandlin Custom Homes companies are now built in their own developments. Having been an active part of the real estate industry in the Mid-Cities area since 1957, the Sandlins have earned a golden reputation for building homes of lasting quality that also lend value to the neighborhoods they are built in. Through the years, the large Sandlin presence in Tarrant County has led them to many land purchase opportunities in prime areas.

Today, the Sandlin influence expands far beyond Tarrant County, however. While they continue to be very active in building and development activities in the Mid-Cities area with new developments in Hurst and Euless, they have also expanded into the Northwest Tarrant/Alliance area and to Parker and Denton counties.
